ALEXIPH'ARMIC, a. [Gr. to expel, and poison.] Expelling poison; antidotal; sudorific; that has the quality of expelling poison or infection by sweat. ALEXIPH'ARMIC, n. A medicine that is intended to obviate the effects of poison; an antidote to poison or infection. By the Greeks, the word was used for an amulet.
