Rabid

RAB'ID, a. [L. rabidus, from rabio, rabo, to rage.]
Furious; raging; mad; as a rabid dog or wolf. It is particularly applied to animals of the canine genus, affected with the distemper called rabies, and whose bite communicates hydrophobia.
